Munji 4JJ1 INTERCOOLER COLD PIPE BRACE

What is this and what are the benefits?

A carbon fibre reinforcement brace, to prevent the Cold Pipe on the 4JJ1 motor (top mount intercooler only), from:-

1. Popping off the manifold and intercooler fittings; and
2. Splitting / bursting under high boost applications.

The reinforcement brace will allow you to run an excess of 30 pound boost through the intercooler with no fear of splitting the plastic pipe or breaking the mount, causing the pipe to break free. This allows you to reliably run more boost through a top mount intercooler, without the need to go to a front mount intercooler.

This reinforcement brace acts as a splint.

This product works in conjunction with our replacement 4JJ1 Intercooler Hot Pipe - https://munji.com.au/collections/holden-ra7/products/upgraded-intercooler-hot-pipe-early-4jj1-engine-with-top-mount?variant=32964354177 to strengthen the intercooler system and make it more reliable whilst using the original plumbing.

What testing of this product has been done?

This product has been run on the Munji RA7 Rig, which:-

• Runs 35 pound boost; and
• Clearing 1000nm torque on 33s.

The original cold pipe is known to slip off as it has poor clamping ability.

Munji is taking the lead with demonstrating just how far you can go with a top mounted intercooler, and you do not always have to swap to front mount to safely run more power.

• 2007 to 2008 – RA7 Rodeo;
• 2008 to 2012 – RC Colorado (4JJ1 diesel motor only);
• 2008 to 2012 – Isuzu D-Max (early shape).
